Materials & Emissions
At Gaia Baby, your baby’s safety comes first, right down to the air they breathe. Our materials are certified to meet and surpass global safety limits for formaldehyde and VOC emissions, ensuring cleaner air and a safer nursery environment.
Formaldehyde & VOCs: While there is currently no compulsory limit in the UK or EU, we choose to meet and exceed the world’s strictest requirements. Australia has the latest and toughest testing standards for formaldehyde (no more than 0.5 ppm). Our materials tested at less than 0.2 ppm, far below the limit.
Other Toxic Elements: All our woods, paints, and finishes are independently tested to exceed all EN,UK & Aus/NZ standards. This ensures they’re free from harmful levels of heavy metals or other toxic compounds.
Safety Standards
The product is made from sustainably sourced German Birch Wood and 100% baby-safe materials (low VOC/No MDF/No Composites such as Chip Board). Product is ethically manufactured in CSO certified, family-run factories.
