Crafted from responsibly sourced New Zealand pine, the Eos Cot Bed is made entirely from solid wood and assembled without the use of glues. Known for its strength, stability and natural beauty, New Zealand pine is the ideal material for long-lasting nursery furniture. In keeping with the Gaia Baby promise, no engineered wood, MDF, composites or veneers are used, ensuring a healthier and more natural sleep environment for your baby.
Because your baby will spend so many important hours sleeping and growing, every material used in the Eos Cot Bed has been carefully selected. Its glue-free construction, combined with non-toxic, water-based finishes, helps minimise indoor air pollutants and delivers ultra-low emissions, creating a safer, more breathable nursery space and offering parents complete peace of mind.

Formaldehyde & VOCs: While there is currently no compulsory limit in the UK or EU, we choose to meet andĀ exceedĀ the worldās strictest requirements. Australia has the latest and toughest testing standards for formaldehyde (no more than 0.5 ppm). Our materials tested at less than 0.2 ppm, far below the limit.
Other Toxic Elements: All our woods, paints, and finishes are independently tested to exceed all EN,UK & Aus/NZ standards. This ensures theyāre free from harmful levels of heavy metals or other toxic compounds.
