Hera Cot Bed Mattress
The Hera Mattress is a breathable, pocket-sprung mattress designed for the Hera Cot Bed. Multiple high-tensile pocket springs combined with nursery-grade foam provide responsive comfort, targeted support, and optimal body support as your baby grows.
The breathable microfibre cover and open-cell foam core promote airflow and help maintain a comfortable sleeping climate. Softly quilted for added comfort, the mattress is anti-microbial, hypoallergenic, water-resistant, and free from harmful chemicals.
Designed for everyday practicality, it features a wipe-clean, durable surface and a removable zip-off cover that is quick drying and machine washable at 40°C. Tightly woven fibres help repel stains, while an inner waterproof membrane protects the mattress core.

What materials is the Hera Bedside Crib Mattress made of?
Made in the UK, Nursery Grade Foam Core - Specifically designed for the nursery industry and free from harmful chemicals, this adaptive foam cradles your baby safely, providing comfort, support and breathability. Testing for formaldehyde isn’t part of the BS EN 16890:2017+A1:2021 standard, however we do test our fabrics for this and have a certificate to verify that there is no formaldehyde in the fabrics that we use. There is flame retardant in the foam that is used, as FR is something that is required to pass BS 7177 at present.
Given your eco-friendly philosophy, we assume that none of the fabrics or other parts of the crib contain formaldehyde, flame retardants, PFC and/or PFAS. Please can you confirm whether this assumption is correct?
All of our mattresses are tested to BS/EN 16890. Has the mattress been treated with any flame retardant chemicals (in particular brominated flame retardants?
Under UK standards the internal Foam is required to be treated with Flame retardant, but the chemical used all exceed the “REACH” standard. The cover itself is not treated, making the sleep surface is very safe. No PFCs or PFAS are used in the manufacture of the mattress foam. The foam contains melamine and is free from TCPP. Additionally, our foam supplier does not use any brominated flame retardants in our products.
Is the mattress firm (not soft) so that the baby does not sink in more than a few millimetres?
